Dear <<Name>>, not everyone knows about the Jeparit ponies and their terrible fate last week. They didn’t make the news but the Internet helped their cause a little. Only a handful were saved, the rest, nearly 300 of them, were shot without remorse by the DPI in Victoria with the benediction of the RSPCA.
Please join me and so many others in a pray for these beautiful ponies in the hope that our world will change, be more clement and in touch with all living creatures.
Read the story on my blog:
Shame on the DPI to shoot nearly 300 ponies in Jeparit

Xmas Presents
We all know that buying presents for our children is always a pleasure and I am sure that we’ve all thought of buying a puppy or a pony, at least once. To many, including myself, we cannot imaging a household without an animal friends. Animals make excellent company in children’s lives as they teach them friendship, respect, as well as caring for another living being. However, 100s of puppies and kittens get abandoned after Xmas. People realise that it might have been a good idea for a Xmas present but didn’t think of what they would do with the puppy after Xmas or when they decide to go away for a week or so and can’t take the puppy with them. One should think twice before buying a pony for their child. The child will grow up and taller, whilst the little pony will stay a pony, only few hands tall. The child will out grow the pony a lot quicker than you think and will want a real horse. Then what will you do with the pony? To me, when we acquire an animal, we have an obligation to care for him, not only attend to his natural needs, but also to nurture him. Animals are not toys you can play with and discard when you get bored. So please, this Xmas, weight the pros and cons when buying a pet for your children and ensure you buy the right one for your family.

Dear subscriber, the end of the year is approaching fast and it is the 1st day of summer here in Australia! The flies have arrived so make sure you dust out the fly masks to protect your horses’ eyes. However, remember that you should always remove fly masks at night because horses can’t see properly with them and they may injured themselves. A bit like you and I wearing dark sunglasses at night!

Animal Communication
Coincidence or Not?
Do you, like me, wonder why certain things happen or why you meet certain people or decide to adopt this particular animal friend? Are they coincidences? I don’t think so. I believe that whatever happens in your life happens for a reason. Sometimes, the reason is too obscure for us to see at the time but we eventually understand it. Read more…
Horse Care
I have sourced an interesting e-book that you might like: “First Aid hints For The Horse Owner – A Veterinary Note Book“. Although not new (1934), it is quite comprehensive and has some good treatments that are easy to apply. It has good illustrations and a good section on lameness. I think it is worth having. Note: I think I should mention that there is a brief section on how to euthanise a horse. At first, I got upset about it. However, after reading it, I understood that the author wanted to explain a humane way of doing it when no one else is available and the horse is hurt and suffering. These days, you would call a vet. One of the most important parts of a cat is its claws. Their claws are used for a variety of tasks which include balancing and climbing. Apart from that, cats also use their claws to stretch, walk and run. Furthermore, the claws on a cat are its most basic form of defence and very important to it. Read more..

Animal Communication
Speaking with Animal Guides
As an animal communicator, you get the chance to meet and speak with many animal species, breeds and characters. Sometimes, you get the honour to speak with an animal guide, an old soul, whose sole purpose on this Earth and lifetime is to provide deep spiritual guidance to his carer. Read more..
Much same way cats can see in the dark, horses too see the world in a very different way compared to humans. This is a very important point to remember if you are a horse owner or trainer. Simply having this knowledge alone would help you to avoid many unnecessary incidents and aid you in better training and handling of your horse. Nonetheless, apart from knowing that we have differences in our sights, it is good to go a little more in depth and find out exactly how our vision differs from our horses’. Read More…
We often assume that everyone else sees things the way we do. However, simple differences in perceptions, mindsets and emotions can cause people to see things from entirely different ways. Now imagine a world through the eyes of your pet dog. The vast difference in height, senses and thought processes would make them see things vastly differently from us, wouldn’t it? Read More…
